Today is Friday.

Today is Friday.

Here is a Friday playlist:

Tessa: Dustin O'Halloran

Eowyn's Dream: Howard Shore

At First Sight: Alexandre Desplat

I'm a Vegetarian

I'm a vegetarian.
I don't know if that's interesting or not but it is true.
My Dad was trying to gain weight when he was in high school to make the football team, and a friend of his recommended it to him.
I know, I know, it sounds completely backwards, but he gained weight and really liked it. He never went back! Being a vegetarian doesn't mean we eat grass and weird smoothies and nothing else. And I've heard enough of the "Where do you get your protein?" questions. All food has protein, but foods like beans, grainy bread, nuts, dairy.
We're not frail little birds. It's a healthy lifestyle.

When my parents met, my dad introduced this new eating habit to my mom, she tried it, and lost a couple of pounds!
So I guess whether you want to gain weight or lose weight, be a vegetarian, and see what happens.

Ok enough about being a vegetarian, here are some memes:

QuEStiOnS WitH CLaiRE

Today on another episode of "Questions with Claire" we will be asking:

What are your top 3 favorite Disney princesses?

Well, I'm glad you asked.
When I was a little girl I was obsessed with princesses (and my little pony), I still kind of am (not my little pony)!

My list of favorites goes like this:

1. Snow White: Snow White always has and always will be my very favorite princess.

2. Merida: My goal in life is to one day have her hair. I also loved the movie.

3. Belle: I love how much we have in common, and her story is a good one.

we made it!

We made it to our new home in North Carolina!
We're so happy to be here.
The jet lag will take some getting used to,
so will the humidity, and the bugs, and having so many people nearby.
But it's been great and exciting.
This Summer has a lot in store for us.
I've got to finish my sophomore (and maybe a little bit of my junior) year.
I also would like to get a job, I'm saving up for an awesome dirtbike.
And maybe sign up for ballet class, I used to do it when I was younger and have regretted quitting every day since.
ALSO: I'm going to Samoa in a couple of weeks for a humanitarian trip!!
I'm really looking forward to that.
It looks like I've got my work cut out for me!

Oh, and it's beautiful here too.

The Last Day on the Road

Today was the last day on the road.
It was so much fun!
Some highlights included:

Some beautiful sights,

Lots of breaks for Angus to run,

Fun times as sisters (we call it "sister bonding time" or just "sister time" have you ever heard the song "Sister Time" from the Disney Junior show "Elena of Avalor"?!?! It sums up our sisterhood pretty dang well.)

Good tunes, Lottie's feeling the John Mayer vibe,

Catching fireflies, I haven't seen a firefly since I was 3 or 4 and it was magical!

Listening to one of me and Jane's favorite books "Heartless" on audible while driving, Charlotte drew my favorite character in the book called Jest and his friend Raven.

It has been such a fun road trip, and while I'm very sad that we've left the ranch, I'm excited to live in the South. I love it here already.

On the Road

Today we drove and drove and drove.
And I remembered the fun time we had at the Jones cabin.
We spent a lot of the time together watching home videos, going on walks, playing uno, and eating yummy food.

It was a lot of fun.

Aaaand, here's the memes:

Goodbye

Today we made it home from the cabin, and said goodbye to the ranch.
I'm really sad about leaving.
But excited for this new adventure.

I said goodbye to the darling peonies in the front yard.

I said goodbye to Kevin the cat, who I would pet every morning on the way to early morning seminary.

I said goodbye to Rhone, my beautiful horse.

And I said goodbye to the beautiful land that we have lived on and enjoyed for the past year.

Living here has been wonderful, and I'll miss it so much.
