A favorite scripture from the Book of Mormon

One of my favorite scriptures in the Book of Mormon is...

"Yea, and I will suffer even until death, and I will not recall my words, and they shall stand as a testimony against you. And if ye slay me ye will shed innocent blood and this shall also stand as a testimony against you at the last day."

This is the story of Abinidi and when he's testifying to King Noah and his people and telling them that they need to repent and King Noah tells him that he won't kill him if he denies the words which Abinidi told the people. But he doesn't, and it ends in his death.
I admire Abinidi's bravery and courage to stand up for what's right and to obey what God told him to do. He had no fear because he knew that he would be on the right hand of God when he returned to Him, and that eternal life and happiness was waiting for him in the next life.

Hurricane Florence

My family and I live in North Carolina- and just last week a hurricane/tropical storm hit the eastern coast of NC and SC.
We were alright- because we live in Chapel Hill which is a couple of hours away from the beach, but we still had a lot of rain and wind!
School was canceled for a whole week because it became a shelter for families whose houses had flooded! Luckily ours did not.
We had a companionship of sister missionaries from the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints that were evacuated from their area come to stay with us, and we had so much fun!

Don't you love my outfit?!?!

I'm sad for all of the people who lost family members in the hurricane, and for all of the people who lost their homes and possessions.
They're in my prayers!

Wally's World

A couple of months ago my family and I were in Pinetop Arizona with our dear family friends the Jones'. It was Saturday night and me and Jane and the two oldest Jones girls Livvy and Avrey were at Walmart picking up a couple of things for Sunday dinner the next day and we somehow ended up browsing the beauty aisle...
We decided it would be a lot of fun to make videos of us trying the crazy weird and cheap stuff that Walmart has an abundance of in the beauty section. That way we could still have a connection even though we were on opposite sides of the country.
We made a youtube channel and me and Jane just uploaded our first video.
It is called Wally's World.
Livvy and Avrey's video is still in the works.
But, if you're interested in collagen lip patches from Walmart. You can watch our first video and see our review.
Mostly it of us making fools of ourselves...

This is my junior year.
I'm really looking forward to graduating and moving on with my life.
So I'll push through this year with as much enthusiasm as I have for school!

Cheers to a new school year!

Wedding Pictures

One Friday evening me and my sister Jane decided to recreate our mother's wedding pics while she was on a date with my dad.
It was a surprise when they came home.
I hope my daughter does this one day...
Even if it's just to make fun of me.

Organizing + A meme for Wednesday

I have too many clothes- As you can see here. This is just my Summer pile. (And these are just hang-ups, my tee shirts, jeans, and skirts are not included...)
So this past Tuesday I decided that I had some downsizing to do.
And I did do some downsizing! I'm one of those girls who gets connected to every item of clothing she's ever owned, so it wasn't easy.

A meme for this Wednesday,
me.
