An embarrassing story

We all have embarrassing stories.
So I thought I'd share one today.
Unfortunately, there are so many to choose from I can't decide! Sometimes, when I'm laying in bed, almost asleep, I remember a total cringe-worthy moment that happened 4 years ago and I stress about it for 20 minutes.
Like that one time when I was singing on stage with my sister and we messed up! (That's a good one and I totally recommend watching it. Link here.)
Or when I was hanging on the check-in desk of a hotel in NYC and it tipped over in front of a whole lot of people. I broke their computer...
But the story I'm going to have to go with is a good old classic peeing-of-the-pants story. Or should I say skirt...
I'm in a new elementary school, with new friends, and... New automatic flush toilets. They were my worst fear. They're loud, and scary, and fast! I always was scared I'd get flushed down into the drain and the janitor would have to come and pull me out.
Usually, I could hold it until I got home. But not today. There were 5 minutes left of class and I tinkled in my long denim hippie skirt just a teeny weeny bit.
I asked my teacher if I could go to the bathroom and she surprisingly let me go.
I waited in the bathroom stall until the bell rang for school to get out. When everyone had finally left I dared to look at the back of that fantastic denim skirt and sure enough. A big, dark blue spot! I wanted to die.
Something like that was the end of the world to me. I'm pretty old now and I still have that memory burned into my brain. I'll probably never forget it!
My skirt looked something like this, a real gem.

Your're welcome.
